walk to the end of our block. cross the high street. continue down the slope. there's the river.in our section of the river boats dock and geese flock. it feels as english as it gets.
i prefer buildings to brine. but as i jog the toepath to richmond and back three mornings a week i have the urge to belt out the little river band song "cool change." i love this river.
